I am a medical student passionate about women's health and pediatrics. Growing up as a minority, raised by a single mother, and not having health insurance, I understand how uncomfortable a medical experience can be. As a physician I would like to change that narrative and engage with patients in a caring and meaningful way that will provide them with a welcoming and safe environment. I would like to change medicine by changing patients perspective on what medicine can be. I want to be an advocate for women, children, and underrepresented minority groups so that they feel seen at their doctor's office.

I have assisted other physicians at a pediatric intensive care unit and an infertility clinic. I understand the hardship children and families face when dealing with illnesses, as well as how isolating infertility stigmas and misconceptions can be for women. I carry these experiences with me to remind myself of the changes and responsibilities we still have to face in medicine.

I am currently involved in OMM pediatric research and Naloxone training for medical students. It is important to practice evidence based medicine and stay current with research. Medicine is a science and as such always advances, so I participate in research in hopes of providing my patients the best possible care.
